Here are the official Fringe episode titles and synopses for the next three Fringe episodes. Also, note the non-standard start/end times:
"In Which We Meet Mr. Jones" (107)
Nov. 11, Tuesday (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT)

FRINGE returns with an all-new episode, directed by Brad Anderson ("The Machinist"), as the team tackles a case involving a strange, almost-otherworldly parasite that has attached itself to the internal organs of a dying FBI agent (guest star Chance Kelly). Racing against time, Agent Dunham (Anna Torv) flies to Germany to meet with an imprisoned man (guest star Jared Harris) who reveals disconcerting details of a much larger threat. Meanwhile, Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Walter (John Noble) attempt to help Olivia by tapping into a dead man's brainwaves.

"The Equation" (108)
Nov. 18, Tuesday (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT)

After a young music prodigy (guest star Charlie Tahan) is taken by a serial kidnapper (guest star Gillian Jacobs), it's discovered that a sequence of flashing lights appeared at the abduction, which Walter links back to his bunkmate (guest star Randall Duk Kim) at St. Claire's Hospital. Much to Peter's dismay, Olivia encourages Walter to return to the mental institution, and Walter's determination to help ends up having chilling ramifications in an all-new episode.

"The Dreamscape" (109)
Nov. 25, Tuesday (9:07-10:07 PM ET/PT)

A Massive Dynamic employee (guest star Ptolemy Slocum) is so convinced he is being attacked by butterflies that he jumps out of a window to escape them, and the team is called in to investigate. Although Olivia's unexplained interaction with Agent Scott (Mark Valley) leads to breaks in the case, she is so desperate to rid her consciousness of him that she demands to go back in the tank. Meanwhile, the gig is up for Peter when a former friend and some current foes find out he's back in Boston.
As we mentioned previously, the final episode of 2008 will be "Safe" (110) on December 2. There is no official press release yet, but here is a brief description: "One of the team members gets kidnapped while investigating a series of weird robberies."

Fringe Spoilers - Episode 107, 108, 109, 110

      Email Post       10/29/2008 10:40:00 AM

SpoilerTV has a scan from TV Guide which reveals details for the next 3 FRINGE episodes:

  • November 11 - #107 - Olivia goes to a German prison and must rely on the help of her ex, a member of the German Parliament.

  • November 18 - #108 - Walter returns to his old mental institution to extract information from a patient and must "face his biggest fears". [butterscotch pudding?]

  • November 25 - #109 - Peter's put in jeopardy as he comes in contact with his ex-girlfriend Tess. "It did not end well with these two... he just disappeared on her and now she's with someone new."
Plus, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello has the inside scoop on Fringe episode #110:

Question: Fringe scoop, please! -- Sara
Ausiello:
Christmas is going to come early for you, Sara, as I'm hearing that the show has a big cliff-hanger planned for its Dec. 2 episode, titled "Safe." How big? While the team is investigating a series of weird-ass robberies, one of the major players gets kidnapped.
The cliffhanger in "Safe" suggests that this could be the last new episode until 2009, when the lead-in for Fringe will switch to American Idol.

Fringe: Jasika Nicole Hints at Astrid's Secrets
by Mickey O'Connor
Oct 21, 2008 07:16 AM ET

When Jasika Nicole auditioned for J.J. Abrams' Fringe (Tuesdays, 9 pm/ET, Fox), she was told it was for a sci-fi series that incorporated humor. As FBI Special Agent Astrid Farnsworth, though, Nicole isn't exactly given a lot of the punchlines, saddled as she is with doing a lot of the heavy lifting in the lab of mad scientist Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble). With a background in musical theater and a talent for drawing (check out her work, including an autobiographical comic, on her website), Jasika (it's pronounced jah-SEEK-uh) talks to us about being intimidated by Noble, why Astrid returned to work in the lab and her theory about the identity of the elusive William Bell.

TVGuide.com: What's a sensible gal like Astrid doing with this bunch of crazies?
Jasika Nicole: I think Astrid is really riveted by Olivia Dunham [who is played by Anna Torv]. I think for any woman starting out in her career, Agent Dunham is an exceptional role model. On Fringe, she is juxtaposed with the doctor, who is also brilliant, but was in an institution. I imagine that Astrid is trying to learn the balance of going after what you want in your career without having it be your whole life. Literally 15 minutes ago I was talking with Anna Torv about needing a scene to show that Astrid has a life outside of this lab.

TVGuide.com: So what's coming up for Astrid? Will she have a larger role in future episodes?
Nicole: She's always doing a lot of lab work, always doing a lot of filing and interjecting at appropriate moments. Episode 107 [which airs on Nov. 11] is really intense. Astrid has to commandeer this weird line that they're crossing. It involves one of the members of the team directly, and then someone outside of the team, and they're trying to bridge a gap. It's similar to when Olivia was in the tank and she [communicated with John].

TVGuide.com: Do you have a backstory for Astrid?
Nicole: So far I've learned that she's really, really smart, has a brain for science even though that isn't what she studied. I found out recently that Astrid majored in music. I have a background in musical theater, and J.J. Abrams asked me about it once, and so now Astrid has it too. I was like, "Oh Lord, I'm going to be singing Broadway tunes." John Noble and I have been planning that since Day 1. We're so excited for that one.

TVGuide.com: Tell me about working with John.
Nicole: John is the funniest guy. I thought he would be very serious, and I was intimidated when I first met him, and I'm pretty sure he made fun of me because, you know, he likes to keep the mood light. Seeing him work is fascinating; it's like taking a master class. I just like to sit back and watch how he processes information and take notes. He's able to do a scene a million different ways within the span of five minutes because he's so able to connect with the artistic vision everyone has for this show.

TVGuide.com: But why can't Dr. Bishop ever remember Astrid's name?
Nicole: I wonder if it just started out as one joke, and it just ended up being so charming and funny that they kept it going. It's hard for me not to laugh; John's reading on it is so funny. We have this running joke where we're always trying to think of new names for Astrid. We were rehearsing a scene the other day and he called me "Afro," and I died. I fell on the floor laughing. He's also called me "Aspirin" and "Ostrich."

TVGuide.com: And when he finally does pay attention to her, he attacks and sedates her. Why do you think Astrid came back to the lab?
Nicole: At first, it was discouraging that they didn't put anything in that told you why Astrid returned. But I think that it sets up something to happen later. You're going to find out exactly why she came back. She is integral to helping the team save these people's lives -- to save the world. Her heart tells her to keep doing it even though her brain is saying, "You've got to get out of here."

TVGuide.com: Personally, I think that Astrid is much more than she appears, that maybe she has some kind of special skill or power that's related to Dr. Bishop's work.
Nicole: I think that is very, very possible. The best theory I heard so far is that I am William Bell.

TVGuide.com: Wanna hear the best William Bell theory that I heard? That he's Blair Brown's prosthetic arm!
Nicole: [Laughs] That's beautiful. At night, it leaves her body and goes out and does bad things.

io9 Interviews Fringe's Blair Brown

      Email Post       10/15/2008 02:44:00 AM

io9 has an exclusive interview with Blair Brown. In it she reveals that with Fringe you get more questions than answers, but in nearly the same breath Brown also reveals her character (Nina Sharp) and Walter Bishop share a history.
Will Nina have super strength with her robot hand?

I'm not sure. We're not even sure what else of Nina is bionic, so consider that. Who can say? That's one of the best things about J.J.'s writing and this whole team, is every script you get, you get more questions. Usually when you work on something you get more and more answers and things get narrower and narrower. With Fringe, things get wider and wider.

Of all the things you've read so far working on Fringe, what are you most excited about? What are you most excited to work on?

What I'm most interested is in fact the relationship with the other characters, because there's history there. The character that John Noble [Walter Bishop] plays, he and I knew each other a long time ago. So what is that, and what was that research that was happening then? I think was Nina a scientist. Was she a failed scientist? Was she a scientist that failed because she was a woman? Because she was living in an age where that often happened.

Fringe Casting Rumors: A Recurring Past?

      Email Post       10/15/2008 02:12:00 AM

Question: Loving Fringe. What you got for me? -- Claire
Ausiello: I got skeletons -- lot and lots of skeletons, and they all seem to be tumbling out of Peter's (Joshua Jackson) closet. In fact, even as I type this, the show is casting two people from his past -- one, a knockout thirtysomething female who'll warn him that folks are after him; the other, a thirtysomething tough guy who is, in fact, after him. Both characters, plus a third -- a fiftysomething pudge with a killer's eyes -- could go recurring. -- Ask Ausiello
