Our exclusive inside source at FOX/WB/Massive Dynamic has confirmed that the venerable Leonard Nimoy, best known for his portrayal as Spock in the original Star Trek franchise, will join the cast of Fringe as William Bell, founder of Massive Dynamic and Walter's original lab partner at Harvard.
According to several Fringe writers and producers, we'll meet Bell in this season's finale, There's More Than One of Everything, which airs May 12th.
This may mark Nimoy's third collaboration with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman this year, since he'll also appear in May's Star Trek (reprising his role as Spock), and possibly as the voice of the villain in this summer's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

ReplyDeleteOops, it looks like he's "in the running," but hasn't actually been confirmed as such: http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/03/24/orci-and-kurtzman-not-returning-for-transformers-3-will-leonard-nimoy-voice-the-fallen/
ReplyDeleteIsn't he too old to play William Bell?
