GIRL WITH UNEXPECTED TIES TO A MISSING SOLDIER
REQUIRES SOME FRINGE INTERVENTION
ON A SPECIAL UNEARTHED EPISODE FROM SEASON ONE OF “FRINGE”
AIRING FOR FIRST TIME MONDAY, JANUARY 11, ON FOX

After a teenage girl is pronounced brain dead, her mother takes her off life support, but when doctors operate quickly to remove her organs, the deceased girl shockingly awakens screaming an alphanumeric code. Equally as perplexing as her resurrection is that she is now somehow able to speak Russian and possesses classified information only a high-ranking soldier would know. While the girl’s mind-bending condition intensifies, Walter dusts off some old lab videos and hypothesizes the unthinkable, sending Olivia and Peter to investigate the bewildering case in an original “Unearthed” episode of FRINGE – and here’s another mystery: is it an unaired episode from Season One or is it from an alternate universe? – airing Monday, Jan. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (FR-121) (TV-14 L, V)

Cast: Anna Torv as Olivia Dunham; Joshua Jackson as Peter Bishop; John Noble as Walter Bishop; Lance Reddick as Phillip Broyles; Kirk Acevedo as Charlie Francis; Blair Brown as Nina Sharp; Jasika Nicole as Astrid Farnsworth

  3. Who is the actress who portrayed the mom on tonight's episode of Fringe? She looks so familiar to me and it's bugging the heck out of me that I can't remember from where.

  4. I think it was Laura San Giacomo - best know for portraying Maya on Just Shoot Me. If it was her, she's lost a lot of weight.

But I can't find the credits anywhere.

  5. The mother was portrayed by Annie Parisse. She used to be on Law & Order back in 2006.

  6. not Annie Parisse...or Laura San Giacomo. isn't it the woman from Greys anatomy?

  7. Actually, someone on the Fox forum for Fringe came up with it. Amy Carlson -- She was on Another World and Third Watch. Another World was the show I remembered her the most from, and I was starting to think about Third Watch, too, but hadn't followed that one as much so wasn't sure.

    Thanks for everyone's help, though!

  8. Annnie Parisse played Andrew Rusk's wife, the one the girl tried to kill and Peter stopped. I looked it up on imdb.com

  10. Ahh... I think maybe some of us were talking about different characters on this episode. It was the actor portraying the girl's mother who I was wondering about. I think someone else was wondering about Rusk's wife... I think it was Theresa, right?

I had tried looking up the episode on imdb but it really only showed the main actors there.

  11. This episode was not filmed last year. It's supposed to be a broadcast from the alternate universe. The product code, 121, shows that this is after Olivia went to the alternate dimension, and the writers wouldn't have produced a random episode out of the timeline otherwise.

  12. This couldnt of been from the other universe because if peter was stolen from that universe he wouldnt of been able to be there... right?

  15. Regarding OtherVerse

If there's one thing lots of people are forgetting, David Jones specifically said there are other worlds - plural. Just because we've seen one alternate universe, don't discount that there are others.

The year of the girl's birth (November, 1982) puts the timeline at for that episode at the year 2000, since she was 17. I don't think the writers would have screwed up something as significant as ten years, but it does add to the mystery.
