Well, it's not April 1st yet so this story must be true.
TV Guide Magazine.com reported yesterday that on April 29th 'Fringe' will present a musical episode entitled, "Overture." (Eat your heart out, Glee!)
"And just like everything else we do around here, it's about to get weirder." Peter's words from 'Safe' never seemed truer. Apparently the episode centers on Walter telling Olivia's niece, Ella, a bedtime story.(And why not? He did so well with the kids in the Children's Science Center in 'What Lies Below,' didn't he?)
Of course we're not hearing everything but we are hearing that Lance Reddick, AKA Phillip Broyles, who is a bonafide musician, will be playing the piano and singing a Traffic song.
Jasika Nicole, AKA Astrid Farnsworth, will be performing something from "A Chorus Line."
And then there's this little gem in the article regarding Anna Torv, AKA the ever serious Olivia Dunham:
"...and Anna Torv's usually stoic Agent Olivia Dunham vamping it up as a private eye...as well as being serenaded by the last person you'd imagine."
Well, the mind can go all over with that! Remember the pics from the famous Entertainment Weekly shoot in September? I'm picturing her in that outfit with the leopard hat. It would be very entertaining to see her let her hair down in a musical number, wouldn't it?
" 'I sing a song to Olivia, which is certainly confusing,' laughs Blair Brown."
OK, so I'm picturing Blair Brown, AKA Nina Sharp, as something nightmarish like Magenta in the 'Rocky Horror Picture Show,' but sadly, sweet little Ella probably doesn't know that show.
What is most interesting is what the article doesn't tell us. There is no mention of John Noble, AKA Walter Bishop, or Joshua Jackson, AKA Peter Bishop, and what they will be performing.
Perhaps a 'Bishop Boys' duo in tux and tails?
Hopefully we will get some more detailed spoilers on this epsiode, folks.
