Comment:The word "os" is Latin for "bone" or "orifice or opening of the body(ie. "cervical os" is the medical term used for the opening into the uterus).
Even though there's no apostrophe between the O and s, I thought it could be a play on "O's" which is greeting cardese for "hugs."
Title of Episode 3.16 which will air 3/11/11

O could be short for Olivia, as in multiple Olivias or "Os".
ReplyDeleteGood point, Dennis.
ReplyDelete"Os" can also mean "The" in Portuguese, when you're talking in the plural and in the masculine(example: "The men" -> "Os homens").
ReplyDeleteIf it's meant to be Portuguese, then it would be the second time this season that an episode has a title in Portuguese, (with the first time being "Entrada").
Congratulations for the site, by the way. In my opinion, it's the best place on the Internet to get updated on Fringe ;)
Any chance it was actually 'OS' (as in operating system)? That could be a reference to Peter's connection to The Machine.
ReplyDeleteHey RJ! Nice to see another brazilian here! Muito bom!
ReplyDeleteSeria bom se "Os" fosse de "OS", tipo uma homenagem, né?
I don't think that's what it means, though...
That's what I was thinking Dennis.
ReplyDeleteBut the bones thing sounds plausible too.
Osmium (iii/zmiəm/ OZ-mee-əm) is a chemical element. It has the symbol Os and atomic number 76. From wikipedia. The periodic table.
