Question: I Just broke my arm and I believe an awesome Fringe scoop would help the healing process! Any idea how long Olivia is going to be all William Bell on us? —Heather
Jeff Pinkner: Good luck with your arm, Heather! If only you had the healing tech that they have in the Alt Univ! To answer your question: Olivia will be inhabited by Bell for a couple episodes — but cohabitation is not as benign as William assumes it is…

Question: Last season, Fringe opted for an epic two-hour season finale. Can we expect a similar such finale this year? —Duncan
Jeff Pinkner: No two-hour finale this year, but the last three episodes will be linked in one continuous story arc.

Hmm. So Olivia Dunham doesn't do well with being posessed by Bell? Not surprising, she's already got FauxLivia stuff taking up residence in her brain!

  1. While she is inhabited by Bell, she will learn about Holivia's pregancy, because what is left of Bell knows what's going on in every universe.

  2. Poor Olivia!! Being pushed and pulled in so many directions, used and abused by so many people all her life -- let's hope she doesn't suffer the fate of Hamlet's Ophelia, losing her real self and her will to live in the course of the rough-and-tumble.
(Interestingly, Anna Torv toured Australia for several months, playing Shakespeare's Ophelia.)

  3. It makes sense that Olivia would be fighting to get rid of William Bell. She doesn't like being used and she is the Dunhamnator so I can't see her lying low while Bell takes over. Go Olivia! It is interesting what you said about Fauxlivia's pregnancy but would Bell have known since he seemingly died before that happened?

  4. If consciousness survives after the body dies, then theoretically that consciousness is connected to a "universal consciousness". Scientific theories support this notion (quantum physics / string theory / m theory), and the "occult" practices of astral projection as well as near death experiences and the writings of Edgar Caycee support this view. The issue with using this theory in telling a story in "Fringe" is that there would be no use for William Bell's charecter beyond 1 episode, as he would have all of the answers just by thinking of the question.

  5. HE SAID COHABITATION!

Cohabit: To live together with another person.

which possibly means Olivia didn't go anywhere (Thankfully overriding one of my theories that she took residence in Faux's body) and will cause trouble for Bell while he's in her head! go Liv! can't wait to see how BIPOLAR that'll look!

  7. no 2hour season finale dose this mean the end or a story to be still told?

  8. Fringeviewer here: I don't know if I like this 'cohabitation' thing, but I'm still willing to give it a chance. In the meanwhile, I'm viewing and reviewing my old episodes (with and without the UST between P/O) because those were the plots that drew me to the series. Believe it or not, I was never a shipper from day 1, so the season 2 finale caught me by surprise (I didn't see Jacksonville until much later, when I bought the DVDs).

Oh, well, it's still an intelligent show, and that's what I like about it.

  9. I think not having a two hour finale is a good idea given there current time slot

  10. Last year it wasn't two hours in one night, it was spread over two weeks: "Over There, Part 1" & "Over There Part 2"
