BarstowFrank: Anything on Fringe? Please tell me it's coming back next year!!!
No word yet on a new-season pickup (we'd be happy if it continued until 2036), but star Joshua Jackson told us that "someone huge" is returning on the May 11 finale. Any guesses?

William Bell!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHope so.
DeleteThe only ruling out of Bell i have (as much as i would LOVE HIM BACK) is that Leonard Nimoy has retired....if he comes out of retirement then THAT would be amazing...perhaps even John Mosley or Charlie...
ReplyDeleteI think Leonard Nimoy said that if the Fringe writers needed him, he would appear again in the show.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Olivia's father, we don't know what happened to him and why he authorized William Bell to do experiments on Olivia when she was 3.
ReplyDeleteMr X from the zeppelin!
ReplyDeleteWilliam Bell. He was in the amber. Walter hacked off his hand and mentioned to astro (...) "you remember what he did to Olivia. Even you can't be that compassionate".
ReplyDeleteSeptember said that Olivia must die. The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that we will learn that DRJ used Cortexiphan and that the Cortexiphan children must all die to stop DRJ's plan. William Bell from the alternate universe - who never appeared as far as I remember - will show up. He will reveal, in part, that Walter's decision to remove pieces of his brain were related to the knowledge that, if the Cortexiphan children ever reached their full potential and threatened the world/universe, there was a way to link to and destroy them.
ReplyDeleteOlivia will be the conduit through which those instructions will flow. It will in some way, lead to her death although she will be resuscitated as soon as the others are dead.
Even if it doesn't play out that way, I love the concept.

ReplyDeletebell referenced in spoiler so guessing he is returning
Well, if JJ was being sincere, then 'someone huge' could only mean William Bell. Nobody else, IMO, would rise to that standard (certainly not Olivia's father, charlie Francis, etc.). Have not seen or read anywhere that Nimoy is returning to the series - so either they are keeping the secret well or thare is to be some kind of gimmick (ala the cartoon episode) wherein the character can return without needing LN to be there in person.
ReplyDeleteI too find the 'collapsing the universes' a bit preposterous - even by Fringe standards. Perhaps there is a revelation to come that will make more sense.
I would not be surprised if Nimoy showed up in "Brave New World:Part 2."
ReplyDeleteJeff & Joel can really keep things quiet when they wish to!
Just read that he will be appearing as Spock in the next JJA Star Tek movie, so a Fribge appearance ought to be a formality.
